The AlphaValve is an all-in-one valve and controller, wire-free, connector-free, solenoid-free, and diaphragm valve-free.

A fully integrated solution with motor, controller, and valve built into one smart, rugged unit designed to make irrigation easier, faster to install, and more reliable.

Unparelleled compatibility

The AlphaValve utilises a full flow 40mm internal ball-valve regardless of connection size, 32mm or 40mm. That means it’s fully compatible with all water types and effluent friendly.

Forgot to flush your lines, no problem, effluent not fully filtered, not an issue, algae build up in your water and pipes, no worries. The AlphaValve is built to be extremely robust —ready for the toughest farm conditions.

New Zealand designed

The AlphaValve has been designed exclusively in New Zealand from the ground up, including electronics. What you see, from the valve to the enclosure, is proudly designed and manufactured right here in New Zealand.

The AlphaValve has been designed for longevity, durability, and reliability. Featuring a manual override and tool-less installation for removal thanks to its unique ‘Rotate N Lock’ connection method.

The proprietary software application and platform has also been designed and developed in New Zealand and continues to evolve alongside the needs of our farmers.

Developed in New Zealand, the technology behind AlphaValve delivers industry-first features that set a new standard for irrigation. The AlphaValve has numerous sensors including, Temperature & Humidity, 3-Axis, valve position and more.

The AlphaValve is powered by industry standard solar rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, with an expected lifespan of 5 – 10 years and comes with a 5-year battery replacement warranty.

Software & network

Saltis provides and manages network infrastructure (Gateways) as required to ensure reliable coverage across all terrain, with a minimum range of 10 km.

'Play or Pause' by sprinkler, paddock, block, or farm. Control and update the system from anywhere.

Our custom app allows for multiple schedules and also 'stepped programming' to help negate wind issues.

An advanced platform hosted on industry leading servers for reliablility and future expandability.

What about reliability & warranty?

Each AlphaValve comes with a 3-year warranty. Our lithium ion batteries come with a 5 year warranty giving you the confidence for long term operation and reliability.

The ball valve motor has all metal components and is geared to requirements with a minimum life span of 20,000 cycles.

The controller itself can be removed quickly and easily for quick in field replacement if required.

How do you deal with poor water quality? 

With a full flow 40mm internal ball-valve, the AlphaValve eliminates common water quality issues. Simply install the valve, manually open it, and flush your lines — no hassle. Didymo and algae are no longer a problem, and effluent doesn’t need to be fully filtered.

What's to stop animal interference?

No need to protect the AlphaValve with large deflection pipes or metal, simply mount the AlphaValve directly over the post for animal free interference, it's completely self contained.

What about the unpredictable?

The default position of the AlphaValve is in the closed position, with an Auto Pause function if a low battery is detected.

Electronic fail safe will automatically close the valve even with failed electronics.

If you are in a frost prone region the AlphaValve can be configured to open the valve should the internal temperature reach a specified value.

AlphaValve is in the vertical position for automated operation or horizontal position for manual operation. If manual operation is detected any irrigation program schedules are temporarily disabled.

Can other smart devices run off the same network?

Yes! Once a network is established on, or near your property -other devices and sensors can be installed: tank monitors, pond monitors, pump controls, silo monitors, soil monitors, generator monitors, flow meters, pressure gauges, asset tracking, CO2 sensors, temperature and humidity sensors to name just a few.
